Along the River

I live only 100 meters from the Thames , so very often I take a walk along the banks and always with the camera.

Although I have walked there many times, it is always different. The light changes with the time of year of course, and not least the tide, there is over 5 meter difference between high tide and low tide.

For a Londoner it is very tranquil place to walk, hardly any noise from the traffic so you can even hear the birds sing. And there are plenty of opportunities to photograph not only common birds like swans and herons, but also local rowers who train and exersice on the River almost every day. The culmination is the The Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge, but there are several other boat races during the year.
